Architect & indoor environmental consultant

The user

In my opinion the user is the most important person in a design process, their needs and wishes must always have priority. They are the ones that ultimately make use of the building, so they should have input throughout all stages of a project. Architecture has a big impact on the well-being of oneself. Among others, the healing environment gives more and more insight into creating healthy buildings. An environment which allow people to heal faster and to unburden as much as possible. Besides healthy architecture, a good indoor environment is just as important. During a design process there has to be attention to indoor air quality, thermal comfort, light and acoustics. In every aspect, the user always remains the focus.

Creating a healthy building requires exchange of knowledge between different disciplines. Through good cooperation between the various disciplines, new solutions will be found that improve the quality of the architecture, and thus the user value.
